Research Interests

1.      Molecular pharmaceutics and drug delivery: Molecular mechanistic understanding of drug delivery and drug delivery systems. Lipid- based nano-particle and liposome for targeted and intracellular delivery of protein, peptide, DNA, siRNA, miRNA, vaccine and drugs for treatment of cancer and infectious diseases. Development and physiochemical characterization of novel particulate delivery system for biological macromolecules. Protein and nucleic acid drug pre-formulation characterization, formulation design and stability study.

2.      Cancer immunology, immunotherapy and anti-cancer drug pharmacology. Signal transduction in antigen presenting cells and nature products as immune stimulators for cancer therapy. Signal transduction in tumor cell transformation, proliferation and apoptosis. Anti-cancer drug screening, drug resistance mechanism and targeted delivery of anti-cancer drugs based on the tumor specific molecules or signal transduction.
